Reasons to Bike to Work

If it's possible, bike to work! If in fact you are not working from home but instead within biking distance of your place of employment, why not bike? 

While not every job is on location and not every day has the same weather forecast, biking to work has so many benefits. 


Here are the top 10 benefits of biking to work:

  1. Save money (on gas + maintenance + parking).

  2. Get fit (AND save money on gym memberships and equipment).

  3. Avoid traffic (and pesky traffic jams).

  5. Best parking (never worry about your parking spot or circle and circle until you find one or park so far away that you may as well have walked to work).

  6. Nicer air (air quality is worsened by cars and biking makes breathing easier).

  7. Safer roads (more cyclists means more awareness of cyclists and the world could use more of that).

  8. Adventure (what will you wear, how will you carry your stuff, what time do you need to arrive, leave, etc.).

  9. Mental health (exercise reduces stress and anxiety so movement is key and biking is one of many ways to take care of your mental health).

  10. Fun (biking is fun and freeing...remember how to pop a wheelie!?).


Of course one of the reasons we love biking so much is because it makes a safer world for our favorite pollinators (the bees), who create our favorite ingredient (our organic honey), which flavors our lovely waters! Bike for Blume!
